Documentation : Colors Tab

This tab has four modes, selectable with the "Color source" combo.

Brush colors

Colors are taken from the current foreground and background colors.

Gradient

Colors are taken from a gimp gradient.

Independent channels

In this mode, each color channel (red, green, blue, alpha or luminosity, depending on the image type) can be assigned to a distinct noise channel.

Image

In this mode, the plugin takes the image in the currently active layer and "warps" it.

  • Horizontal, Vertical: How much the image is warped.
  • Quality: Which algorithm to use for the warping.
  • Edges: What will the plugin do when sampling pixels which would fall outside the image border.
    • Wrap: Samples are taken from the other side of the image.
    • Smear: Samples are taken from the edge.
    • Black: Samples are considered to be, well, black.
    • Background: Samples are considered to have the current background color.
  • Caustics: Simulate a caustics effect as if the warping was caused by a bumpy glass.
