 Seed:
Seed used to
generate the noise. Every seed generates a different pattern.
 Width, Height:
Size of
the noise "features".
 Lattice Noise, Lattice
Turbulence, Sparse Noise, Sparse Turbulence, Skin, Puffy, Fractured,
Crystals, Galvanized: These
are the available basis functions.
 Ordinary fBm, Multifractal,
Inverse Multifractal: These
specify how the several octaves are
blended together:
 fBm:
The
octaves are added together.
 Multifractal:
The octaves are multiplied together, each octave dampens or enhances
the features of subsequent layers.
 Inverse Multifractal:
Same as multifractal, but reverses the enhancement and dampening.
 Octaves:
Specifies the
number of "noise layers" which get blender together to generate the
final image.
 Lacunarity:
Specifies the
size ratio between successive octaves. ie. If Lacunarity is 2, then
every octave has half the feature size of the previous octave.
 Hurst Exponent:
Specifies
how much the magnitude of successive octaves decreases. ie. A hurst
exponent of 0 makes every octave contribute equally to the final image.
